Kat brought with her an energy that was so positive and so lively that we could not wait for her to come in [to the station]. We loved having her input on projects that we were working on because it added creativity! Kat, by far, was one of our favorite interns (if not the best).  If you’re looking for a new addition to your team, I’m going to tell you that your search has ended!

Kat has been one of our most outstanding students since I've been here [at Mississippi College], and this is the beginning of my eighteenth year as a full-time professor.  Kat has great instincts for timing, staging, acting, and finding that "wow" factor that makes a show fly.

Kat was a valuable member of the STAR 93.5 team as our production assistant.  Whatever the task or activity assigned, she enthusiastically accepted the responsibility and completed the task.  She loves a challenge. She understands that cooperation begins with a smile, and... would be a valued team member.

In addition to her excellent scholastic accomplishments, [Kat] has proven her love for the Lord in volunteering on student ministry media team. She is seen as a leader in her school, community, and her church. She has also sought out to serve others in her community by humbly putting others before her own needs. Kathryn’s Christ like attitude is proven in her work ethic, her deep devotion to Jesus, and her love for people.

Kathryn is one of the most instinctively gifted comedic young actresses I’ve ever met.  Whether doing improv work or traditional scene work, Kathryn is fearless onstage, unafraid to risk looking foolish or trying something that doesn’t work. Kathryn is constantly going after “different” and interesting characters, desiring a role that will challenge and interest her.

I have been very impressed with Kat.  She has an excellent sense of humor, spark of creativity and thirst for knowledge.  She is goal oriented and willing to pay the price to meet her goals [and] has grown to be an invaluable member of the Communication Department. Additionally, Kat has never done only what she was required to do, but rather shows much initiative beyond the minimum.  In short, she has accomplished what she set out to do.  Many people can neither set nor achieve their goals.  However, Kat demonstrated that she has the determination to accomplish what she desires.

Kat was always motivated and motivated others as a natural leader. She consistently showed a strong desire to learn, to be involved in activities and to contribute to the department. Her charismatic personality and desire to encourage others will make her an asset to any business or organization. Her skills go on from acting and directing. The "one act play" that she directed will long be remembered as one of the best this campus has ever seen. She served as director, producer, light and sound director...you name it, she did it and did it with class.

In the spring of 2018, Kathryn Tate interned with New South Radio, Inc.  Ms. Tate was a stand-out intern who showed great enthusiasm for experiencing all aspects of broadcasting.  She learned how to run remotes and was an asset during the annual Radiothon.  She was very creative and helped the sales staff write and produce commercials.  In addition, she helped the sales team with digital issues.  She always worked above and beyond.
